Since we are based in Budapest, Hungary, a large chunk of our genealogy research has to do with family history and family searches connected to families in Hungary or those who originally come from Hungary. In our research, our Hungarian team uses all possible means of finding the relevant data regarding families that we are researching and oftentimes local city and municipal archives are of paramount importance in this process.
In addition to the local archives, the FamilySearch repositories are of great assistance to our research. Originally founded as the Genealogical Society of Utah in 1894, FamilySearch has since been collecting and maintaining archival and other genealogical records for decades. Familysearch is the biggest genealogical records database in the world and is based in Salt Lake City, Utah. FamilySearch has recorded, scanned, and indexed archival records from various countries all over the world. The database has millions and millions of pages of archival records from Hungary, and it offers tremendous opportunities for those who want to explore the origins of their families.
If you are interested in your family history and would like to explore available archival and other data, we highly recommend that you check out what FamilySearch has to offer in their ever-growing repositories.
